HX3 6XG  ~  01422 382959 Opened late July 2008, the Mereside Centre has very quickly built a reputation as a perfect venue for hosting a wide range of corporate and private functions. The Mereside Centre is managed by Coffee Culture Catering which is a family owned local company with a high degree of experience in quality hospitality provision. The contemporary eco friendly building stylishly furnished with full disability access has adjacent free parking. Its location in the beautiful surroundings of Shibden Park, overlooking the lake, make it an unrivalled venue for special events. CORPORATE HOSPITALITY, TRAINING EVENTS and CONFERENCES The Central Suite is ideal for smaller meetings accommodating up to 16 in board room style. The Grange Suite will accommodate up to 50 in a variety of settings. Because of the flexible design of the building, the two areas can be combined providing accommodation for up to 70 delegates. For evening events the whole of the building can be made available as one space accommodating up to 150 delegates. Flip charts, markers and audio visual equipment available at no extra charge. Rooms available on a 2 hourly, half day or whole day basis. Discounts for community groups, charities and regular users. Wide choice of menu options and catering for special diets. CELEBRATION EVENTS The Centre is becoming an incredibly popular venue for all types of celebrations including children’s parties, baby naming ceremonies, christenings and special birthdays receiving extremely positive feedback for the building, the high quality of our catering and our attention to detail. Afternoon tea parties for those wanting something different with delicious homemade cakes, savouries and sandwiches. In the evening the building takes on a more intimate feel with use of subdued lighting as well as offering the opportunity to extend the party on to the decked area overlooking the lake. Wide choice of catering options customised to your tastes and budget (*we do not allow other caterers to provide catering for events at the Centre). Free venue hire subject to sufficient numbers of guests and a pay bar being required. Fully licensed for alcohol and entertainment with competitive bar prices. Themed children’s parties Saturday and Sunday mornings and weekday afternoons/early evening with opportunities to take a train or boat ride. A GREAT FAMILY DAY OUT! OTHER EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES We are very keen to see the Centre increasingly being used for a wide range of activities. Pilates and Yoga sessions have proved very popular and we would look to encourage related complementary activities over the coming months. The Centre lends itself to both performing arts ( ie: theatre, music and exhibitions). Over the coming months we will be working with partners to promote such events.
